It was a fantastic day!

At last! The long awaited day has come! Our Elementary School children have just presented their very first parents show at their new school.
As I mentioned before, our main theme this term was CULTURE. We appreciated the diverse cultures in, and outside Uganda through several demonstrations.

Our children were taken through the dynamics of cooking several staple foods.  They were taught how to make different Ugandan artifacts, which were displayed at the Cultural Galla.

They show-cased the diverse cultural wear; sang songs, poems and demonstrated dances from different regions of Uganda.

The parents had a fabulous 2 hour presentation.

We were later treated to a fantastic speech by Mr. Simon Peter Kasyate - an excellent communicator, former journalist, now working with the European Union in Uganda.  He emphasized the need to uplift and appreciate our diverse cultures and to appreciate each other no matter where we come from.  He also emphasized and gave testimony about upcoming schools and what they can offer the parents.  Filled with humor, his speech was on spot and I believe that all parents, grand parents and guests enjoyed it.

The pictures below will tell the rest of the story.

Enjoy!

and more to come!

What's Up!

It has been a while since we last communicated! A lot has been going on.

At the Pre-Schools, we are getting ready for our sports day, which will take place on Sunday, April 7th, 2013.  All the children are geared up and can't wait to out-do each other.  The activities are really fun. I'm sure our parents and guests will have a blast.

At the Elementary School, we are getting ready to show-case our different cultures on cultural day.  The main events will take place at school on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 at 9.00a.m.  We have a lot to share with our parents and the children are really looking forward to making their presentations!

Pictures of these events will follow as soon as they are done.
